Waste Management

Council manages the garbage, recyclables and FOGO contracts for the collection of garbage, recyclables, glass and FOGO and provides education initiatives to promote recycling opportunities, waste minimisation and to improve the City’s diversion from landfill.

Littering

If you see someone littering from a vehicle or near the vehicle they are using, you can make a report to the Environment Protection Authority (EPA). You can make litter reports to EPA online using the EPA web form. Further information about reporting litter from vehicles can be found on the EPA website.

Kerbside Bin Collection

Warrnambool has a 4 Bin system, all bins are collected fortnightly. Glass (purple) and Recycling (yellow) one week, Landfill (red) and FOGO (Green) the next.

Container Deposit Scheme

The Victorian Government has introduced a new Container Deposit Scheme. The scheme will reward Victorians with a 10-cent refund for every eligible can, carton and bottle they return.
