On behalf of Council, Volunteer Connect facilitates the South West Volunteer Network (SWVN).
The SWVN is a professional group network that supports leaders of Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIO’s) across South West Victoria.
Meeting quarterly, SWVN members share information, training, and management experiences in working with volunteers.
VIO’s promote best practice in volunteer management, including:
- PEER SUPPORT
- INFORMATION & SHARING OF RESOURCES
- PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- PROMOTION OF VOLUNTEERISM
- ADVOCACY
