Middle Island Project – Dog Handler
Council currently has a unique and exciting opportunity available for a Dog Handler, to assist in the overall care and handling of the Maremma Dogs.
About the Role
The Maremma Dogs protect the Little Penguin population on Middle Island from fox predation. The Maremma’s are located on the Middle Island intermittently throughout the penguin breeding season.
You will be required to undertake care and training, along with transportation to undertake their duties.
The Benefits
This is a casual position with an hourly rate of $42.47 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading) + superannuation.
