We're seeking an experienced and collaborative Infrastructure Finance Business Partner to join our Financial Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our Infrastructure department through strategic financial partnering, high quality financial management, and expert accounting advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnering and Financial Advisory
Partner with Infrastructure business units to provide financial advice, accounting support, performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial management services that support informed decision-making. - Financial and Asset Accounting
Deliver accurate financial and asset accounting services (particular to Infrastructure services and Assets), including general ledger reconciliations, journals, asset accounting, financial reporting, annual financial statements and audit support in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and legislative requirements. - Financial Systems and Reporting
Support the administration, maintenance and continuous improvement of Council's financial management system (TechnologyOne), including financial reporting.
About you
You are a motivated finance professional who enjoys partnering with operational teams and translating financial information into practical business insights. You have strong technical accounting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
The Finer Details
This is a temporary part time position until 29 January 2027 working 45.6 hours per fortnight, with a current starting salary of $94,117 per annum (pro-rata) exclusive of superannuation.
