The Ziegler Parade bridge re-opened to traffic on April 1, 2026, after it was closed in February for maintenance.
The bridge is planned to close permanently at the end of 2029, and these maintenance works were an important part of helping the bridge make it to this date.
Council is continuing to work with the Victorian Government to improve access to Allansford at Garabaldi Lane and Grauers Road.
Once the Ziegler Parade bridge closes permanently, these will be the main access points to and from the highway and improvements need to be made.
