550 Raglan Parade – Swan Reserve
Works: City Kindergarten Entrance Construction
Commencement Date: Early February 2025
Duration: Up to 7 months from commencement.
Impact: Pedestrians are advised to observe all signage.

Bromfield Street/Canterbury Road/Cockman Street/King Street
Works: Drainage works
Commencement Date: April 7
Duration: 11 weeks
Impact: The installation of the pits and pipes will be completed in stages with a section of pipe being laid and then backfilled before continuing along Bromfield Street, through the roundabout and along King Street. Traffic controls will be in place to allow these works to progress safely, with pedestrian and property access to be maintained for the majority of the works. These traffic controls will impact access to Bromfield Street, Cockman Street, Canterbury Road and King Street as follows:
Bromfield Street
Bromfield St South bound will be closed to through traffic from Botanic Rd to Canterbury Rd until works up to and through the Canterbury Rd roundabout are completed. Traffic will be detoured to Canterbury Rd or Jamieson St. Bromfield St will remain open north bound.
Cockman Street
While works are occurring in Bromfield St, Cockman St will become one way. The metal bollards will be temporarily removed to allow for entry via Jamieson St and exit at Bromfield St.
Canterbury Road
Detours will be in place to stop through traffic along Canterbury Rd at the roundabout when works are taking place in this section. This will be for up to four weeks beginning Tuesday May 13.
King Street
Once works commence in King St it will be closed to traffic south bound but remain open north bound.

Flume Carpark and Path
Works: Footpath construction between the Flume carpark and the Promenade.
Commencement Date: Week commencing June 30 2025.
Duration: Up to 5 weeks.
Impact: For the safety of workers and the public, the Flume carpark and path will be closed to allow for the safe movement of
construction vehicles. Access to the carpark and the path will re-open on weekends, but please be mindful of any hazards and obey all signs.

Lady Bay & McGennans Carpark
Works: Demolition of the current beach access structure and replace with an accessible ramp and stairs.
Commencement Date: Early February 2025
Duration: Up to 5 months
Impact: Pedestrians are advised to observe all signage.

Russells Creek & Merri River Major Culverts
Works: Reed removal at the abutments of several road bridges.
Duration: Week commencing Monday 23 June 2025 for 2 weeks.
Impact: The bridges will remain open to vehicular and pedestrian traffic under traffic control. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to observe all signage.

Skuses Road Bridge Allansford
Works: Bridge maintenance works.
Duration: Week commencing Monday 2 June 2025 for 4 weeks.
Impact: The bridge will remain open to vehicular traffic under traffic control. Motorists are advised to observe all signage.

Wollaston Road (between Caramut Road and Yarra Drive)
Works: Major road construction
Duration: July 5-20, 2025
Impact: Access to Wollaston Road will only be via Mortlake Road during this closure. Yarra Drive will remain accessible, and bike riders will still be able to use the southern footpath. One lane access via the use of portable traffic lights will be used into Yarra Drive during the proposed closure. All properties, including Merri River School, will remain accessible throughout the works.

Wollaston Road (between Ponting Drive and Cecil Street)
Works: Wollaston Road concrete path.
Duration: Commencing late June 2025 for up to 7 weeks, weather permitting.
Impact: Pedestrians and vehicles are advised to observe all signage and construction delineations.
