A new festival will call Warrnambool “Om” in June.

The inaugural Warrnambool Yoga Festival invites people of all ages and ability levels to sample a variety of yoga styles and wellbeing workshops over the course of a weekend.

After successfully running yoga festivals in Bendigo and on the Bass Coast, event organiser Rosie Richards said that she was excited to be coming to Warrnambool.

“I am thrilled to extend a heartfelt invitation to all local yogis, wellness practitioners, and community members to be part of this special event,” she said.

“This festival is more than just a gathering—it’s a chance for our community to come together, share experiences, and ignite our collective passion for wellness.

“We are seeking local instructors, wellness experts, and businesses who would love to contribute by leading classes, offering talks, or showcasing their products and services at our event exhibitors’ space.

“Whether you’re a seasoned yoga teacher, a passionate wellness advocate, or someone who runs a business that aligns with our mission of health and wellness, we’d love to have you join us.

“Having seen the incredible impact of yoga festivals in communities like Bendigo and Bass Coast, where they sparked new collaborations and a sense of collective community consciousness, I know this event will bring something truly special to this local area.

“It’s not just about yoga—it’s about connecting with one another, learning from each other, and creating a space where we can all grow together.”

The event is supported by the Warrnambool City Council, with Mayor Ben Blain welcoming the new addition to the city’s events calendar.

“A big part of our events strategy is about attracting destination events that people travel to attend, especially during the off-peak season, and the Warrnambool Yoga Festival aligns with this perfectly,” he said.

“As Victoria’s largest coastal city outside of Port Phillip Bay, we are the ideal place for a yoga festival.

“Warrnambool combines the fresh sea air and natural beauty of the coast with the facilities and amenities needed for great events.

“The event organisers have a large and loyal following, and I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone to Warrnambool in June.

“And for locals with an interest in yoga, this is an amazing opportunity coming to your doorstep.”

The Warrnambool Yoga Festival will run from June 7-8.
