Work has begun on the upgrade of the roundabout at the intersection of Fairy and Koroit streets.
The road surface had reached a point where it needed to be rebuilt, and this presented an opportunity to improve safety at the intersection. While the roundabout upgrade won’t include zebra crossings, we are building a larger roundabout to slow traffic, improve visibility and create a safer intersection.
While work is taking place shuttle flow (stop go) traffic control will mostly be in operation, however there will be a number of days when Fairy Street will be closed to through traffic at Koroit Street.
Work will mostly occur between the hours of 7am and 6pm weekdays and is expected to be completed before the end of November.
