Tickets to the highly anticipated AFLW game between Essendon and Geelong at the newly redeveloped Reid Oval are now on sale.

The Bombers are set to take on the Cats at Warrnambool’s premier sporting facility on Sunday October 9 at 1.10pm.

Adult tickets are $10. Under 18s are free, but they still need to book a free ticket prior to the game. No tickets will be available on the gate.

Warrnambool Mayor Vicki Jellie said that a big crowd was expected for the blockbuster game.

“Warrnambool was one of only four regional locations chosen to host an AFLW Premiership Season match, so this is a significant vote of confidence by the AFLW in Warrnambool,” she said.

“The AFLW aligns perfectly with the reasons why upgrading the Reid Oval was a priority – to attract elite competitions while encouraging female participation in sport.

“With so many fans expected to converge on Reid Oval to see Essendon vs Geelong, please book your tickets early.

“The AFLW match will cap off a big month for the new Reid Oval with both the Hampden League and District League Grand Finals in September.

“Reid Oval is the traditional home of football in South West Victoria and I’m one of thousands looking forward to the venue hosting big games now and into the future.”
