Young Parents Social Support Group
Home and community care program for younger people
It can be easy to feel alone when you first become a parent, but there are always people who are ready and willing to help. Our young parents social support group provides our clients the opportunity to join like-minded parents who are going through their own experiences and emotions related to parenting.
Based on the values of equity, social inclusion, and collaboration, we offer a non-judgemental environment where both parents and children are supported. Encouragement is provided by caring staff to engage and work together to form social connections in a relaxed, welcoming and supported environment.
Our group of young parents, who are also welcome to bring their toddlers along, meet once a week for lunch and social interaction. Activities and social outings are planned around our clients' interests and needs.
Cafe Style Social Support
The cafe style support program is a luncheon once per month for carers and recipients of people that have dementia or any other neurological condition. It is an opportunity for people to connect with one another, make new friendships with others, and share experiences.
Luncheons are held at the Lady Bay Resort, 2 Pertobe Road from 12 noon until 2.30pm. The venue is fully accessible to the function room.
It is a wonderful opportunity for developing companionship and connection with other people within the community.
This program is not offered to people on a Support at Home package or NDIS.
