From Monday, September 29, Council will start an assessment of the condition of its entire sealed road network.
The inspection, done using cameras mounted on a van, will take two weeks to complete.
The information gathered will enable better decision-making on our road maintenance and renewal schedule.
Council has appointed asset inspection contractor Infrastructure Management Group (IMG) to carry out the work.
The IMG assessment vans are driven by experienced operators and will travel at normal traffic speeds.
Hazard lights and other warning devices will operate while laser measurements and video recording of roads takes place.
When following an IMG vehicle please keep a full car length space between vehicles to provide the rear cameras with a clear view of the road.
No images will be taken of private commercial or residential property or buildings.
