Notice is given that Warrnambool City Council (Council) proposes to make a local law titled "Revocation Local Law 2024" (the proposed Local Law). 

The following information about the proposed Local Law is provided in accordance with section 73 of the Local Government Act 2020: 

 

Objectives of the proposed Local Law

The objective of the proposed Local Law is to revoke Council’s Local Law Number 2 – Short Stay Accommodation Local Law. 


Intended effect of the proposed Local Law

The intended effect of the proposed Local Law is to revoke Council’s Local Law Number 2 – Short Stay Accommodation Local Law immediately upon Council making the proposed Local Law. 


Availability of the proposed Local Law 

Copies of the proposed Local Law may be inspected on Council’s community consultation website, www.yoursaywarrnambool.com.au, or at Council’s offices at 25 Liebig Street, Warrnambool. 


Community engagement process 

Council has adopted a ‘Consult’ level of community engagement under its Community Engagement Policy. This means that any person may make a written submission relating to the proposed Local Law. All submissions received by Council on or before 4.00 pm on 17 April 2024 will be considered by Council when deciding whether to make the proposed Local Law.
