Koroit-Ryot Street intersection upgrade

Works are now complete on the new roundabout at the corner of Koroit Street and Ryot Street, with the intersection reopening to traffic in May 2026.

The upgraded intersection has improved safety and access for all road users, particularly people walking across Koroit Street to access the hospital precinct, and drivers turning right from Ryot Street onto Koroit Street.

The project included:
•    a new roundabout
•    pedestrian islands
•    renewed road pavement
•    accessible footpaths
•    kerb and drainage improvements
•    extra car parking on Ryot Street
•    relocation of two bus stops further west on Koroit Street

The project was supported by a $400,000 grant from the Victorian Government’s Safe Local Roads and Streets Program, with Council contributing up to $400,000.
