From January 29 through until mid-March, residents may receive a call from National Field Services as part of the Community Satisfaction Survey.
This survey is held annually, with most Victorian Councils taking part.
Participants will be asked to share their views on the Warrnambool City Council’s performance across a range of key areas.
Warrnambool Mayor Ben Blain encouraged people to take the time to complete the phone survey if they were able to.
“This is a really important way for us to identify areas that we can improve on, as well as highlight the things that the community feels we are doing well,” he said.
“The survey has been running for quite a few years now, so we can track our own performance over time and we can see how we compare with other Councils across Victoria.
“We know that scam calls are becoming more and more prevalent, so to make sure the caller is genuine, keep these points in mind: they will never ask for people by name, they will always identify themselves as National Field Services and tell you their name, they will always say how long the survey is expected to take, and the call will come from a landline with a (03) 9977 prefix – never from a mobile.
“Participant details and individual results are confidential, and only the overall results will be shared with Council.”
The survey will take approximately 15 minutes, with a minimum of 400 phone interviews from a representative sample of residents to be completed.
