Bookings are now open for the 2026 Warrnambool Seniors Festival, with 70 free and low-cost events to be held throughout October.
Warrnambool City Council is coordinating the month-long program, with people aged 60 and over invited to learn something new, stay active and connect with others.
Regular favourites such as the classic car tour, pampering session and bus tours all return, with new events including a seaweed cooking class, a watercolour painting session for beginners and a dahlia growing workshop.
Other activities include art and craft tutorials, explorations of local history, live music, social events, exercise classes and more.
Warrnambool Mayor Cr Ben Blain said that the festival made it easier for older residents stay connected and engaged in the community.
“Throughout the month of October, we invite you to connect, create and celebrate with us as we recognise the incredible contribution seniors make to our community,” he said.
“The festival is a chance to spend more time doing the things you already enjoy or to finally try something you’ve always wanted to do.
“With over 70 events across the month, there really is something for everyone.
“Bookings are now open, so please check out the program and start planning your October. Quite a few of the events are expected to book out, so if you’re interested, please book early to avoid disappointment.”
The Warrnambool Seniors Festival will be officially launched on Friday October 2 at the Archie Graham Community Centre, with a free event from 1.30pm recognising local nominees for the Victorian Senior of the Year Awards.
