The second oldest one-day cycling event in the world, the Powercor Melbourne to Warrnambool Cycling Classic, is on Saturday February 28. The Lochard Energy Warrnambool Women’s Classic will be held on the Sunday March 1. Both events are part of the ProVelo Super League
The Festival also includes the Tineli Port Campbell to Warrnambool Handicap on the Saturday.
The finish line for all three races is at the Liebig Street and Raglan Parade intersection, with plenty of great spots to watch the gripping finale along the highway.
On Sunday between 11:00am – 2:00pm Lochard Energy will be offering FREE face painting, Timboon Ice Creams, balloon twisting and coffee.
When will the riders arrive?
Tineli Port Campbell to Warrnambool Handicap: approximately 12pm.
Powercor Melbourne to Warrnambool Cycling Classic: from 1.30pm on Saturday February 28.
Lochard Energy Warrnambool Women’s Classic: from 2pm on Sunday March 1.
Road closures
Raglan Parade between Banyan Street and Liebig Street will be open to local traffic only westbound
from 9.00 am until 5.30 pm on Saturday 28 February 2026 and from 11.00 am until 5.00pm on Sunday 1 March 2026
Vehicles will be diverted on to Lava Street.
Raglan Parade between Flaxman Street and Kepler Street will be closed westbound from 12.30 pm until 3.00 pm on Saturday 28 February 2026 to allow for the finish of the races. And from 1:00pm until 4.00pm on Sunday 1 March 2026 for the women’s race
Vehicles will be diverted on to Nicholson Street and Timor Street.
Vehicles crossing Raglan Parade should use Kepler Street or Derby Street/Bell Street.
Heavy vehicles will be permitted, under speed reduction, to continue Westbound along Raglan Parade throughout the day however will be held during race finishing times on both days.
Interruptions will also occur to traffic on Flaxman St, Otway Rd, Hopkins Rd, Marfell Rd and Hopkins Point Rd during these periods.
