Warrnambool householders wanting to “go solar” have access to a new solar bulk buy program.
Warrnambool City Council has partnered with Positive Charge, part of the not-for-profit Moreland Energy Foundation established by Moreland City Council to deliver the program.
When combined with new rebates currently offered by the Victorian Government, now is a great time to investigate solar power for your home.
The program to encourage rooftop solar supports the community's wish, expressed during the development of the Warrnambool 2040 community plan, to become a carbon neutral city.
Installing solar power systems on roofs is a simple way for households to reduce their electricity bills and their CO2 emissions.
Council recognises many residents, while keen to introduce energy management solutions into their homes, may be deterred by the complexity of finding a quality system and installer, or deciding what measures are best suited to their home.
The Positive Charge program makes it easier for householders to take up solar power systems and energy efficiency solutions in order to lower emissions across Warrnambool.
The Positive Charge program provides free energy help and advice along with an opportunity to buy a broad range of energy saving solutions from independently selected and assessed suppliers.
