Shopping in Warrnambool’s city centre has paid off for Warrnambool resident Daniel Tobin.

Daniel collected five different tokens through the Find the Five shopping promotion to win a handy $1000.

“I was over the moon,” Daniel said after collecting his fifth and final token.

That token, from Pinkys Pizza, along with tokens he collected shopping at Dr Tully’s, George Taylor’s Stores, Chemist Warehouse and Kebabs on Kepler, gave him a complete set of Find the Five Warrnambool icons and the cash prize.

“I’m planning a trip to Europe so it will be great spending money,” Daniel, who works at the Capitol Cinema and Rafferty’s Tavern, said.

He said he always went into the city to shop and preferred it to online shopping.

The Find the Five promotion is part of the City Centre Renewal business support package and provides shoppers with a chance to win $1000 or one of scores of instant prizes.

To be a part of Find the Five, simply spend $10 at a participating city centre business to receive a token.

Tokens contain either an instant prize, discount offer or one of five Warrnambool icons including the War Memorial, Silver Ball, Norfolk pine, T & G clock tower or a lighthouse.

Anyone who collects all five icons wins $1000.
