Warrnambool City Council is calling on the community to provide feedback on design options for a city entrance sign at the eastern gateway to the city.

“A city entrance sign can be a really important statement about how a city defines itself and how it welcomes visitors and its residents,” Warrnambool Mayor Cr Tony Herbert said.

“This is an item that is high on the priority list for the current Council.

“When we established the vision to be a cosmopolitan city by the sea we also identified a theme. That theme is to build pride and confidence in our city.

“As Victoria’s most liveable city we have much to be proud about and the city entrance statement needs to reflect and build on that sentiment.

“We’ve developed four draft options for the community to consider and we’re encouraging everyone to let us know what they think of each design.

“They are all really different and the feedback we receive will help us with a final decision on which option we should explore further.”
