Have your say: Council Plan review and 2022-2023 Budget

News date:

Council is inviting the community to pose questions about the 2021-2025 Council Plan and upcoming 2022-2023 Budget.

“Although it’s a four-year plan we review the Council Plan annually and also seek to get the community involved in having a say on the budget,” Mayor Cr Richard Ziegeler said.

“The review of the Council Plan is more of a fine-tune than an overhaul. Many people in the community gave time and effort to help create the Council Plan last year so this is simply about ensuring the plan meets community expectations and remains on track to help deliver the goals described in the long-term community vision, Warrnambool 2040.”

The Budget provides the allocation of resources needed to implement the Council Plan.

Council is now asking the community to submit any questions or requests they have in relation to the Council Plan and/or budget.

The questions and commentary will be reviewed by Council and will help inform the revision of the plan and budget preparation.

A community forum is planned for late March where the questions will be discussed with Councillors and Council staff.

Following the forum the community will be provided with a further opportunity to comment on the draft budget and revised Council Plan.

To have your say please go to www.yoursaywarrnambool.com.au

Hard copy submission forms will also be made available at the Civic Centre or can be mailed out on request (contact Council on 5559 4800).

Submissions close on March 4, 2022.
