Council Meetings

The formal decision making process of a Council is through Council Meetings, which Councillors are required to attend.

The Chief Executive and members of the Executive Management Team also attend the meetings, to provide information or advice when called upon by the Council.

Regular meetings of Council are called Ordinary Meetings. These are held on the first Monday of the month at the Warrnambool Civic Centre from 5.45pm however a varied program applies over the Christmas, New Year period or to accommodate Public Holidays.

Special Meetings of Council may also be called to enable it to discuss and decide upon specific matters, eg the Budget, the Annual Report, etc.

The date, time and location of Ordinary and Special Meetings are advertised in Council's Noticeboard published in The Standard. Meetings are open to the public.

Details on meeting procedures can be accessed here.

Agendas & minutes

Copies of the Agendas and Minutes are available from the Thursday afternoon prior to a Council meeting.  The agenda can be read in the Warrnambool Library, at the Warrnambool Civic Centre or on the Council website.
