COVID-19 update

July 21, 2021 update

The Victorian Government has announced a five-day statewide lockdown that commenced at 11.59pm, July 15.

The lockdown means that if you can work from home, you should work from home.

Face coverings must be carried at all times and must be worn indoors and outdoors except if at home, or when visiting an intimate partner's place of residence or if an exemption applies.

Vaccinations

The Warrnambool Vaccination Centre is at Bayside City Plaza, 184 Merri Street (in the building formerly known as Sam's Warehouse).

Bookings are recommended but not essential.

Civic Centre

Closed to the public.

 

Library  The Library will be operating a click and collect service 9.30am to 5pm weekdays and 10am to 2pm on Saturday.
Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village

Closed.

Visitor Information Centre Closed.

Warrnambool Art Gallery Closed.
Kindergartens

Operational for all vulnerable children and families essential workers.

Drop off and collection of children to occur in foyers.

Families emailed of update  of implementation of COVID safe plans.

 

 

Family Day Care

Operational for all vulnerable families and essential workers.

Families emailed of update in COVID safe plans.

 

Children's and Family Services programs

Operating. All services will have any changes sent to families via SMS, or tech communication that normally occurs.All visitors cancelled to early learning services and kinder unless considered  authorised/allied Health

All students cancelled for 5 days

No excursion or incursions.

Only transporting families via back seat and under emergency request.

 

 

Supported  and community playgroups cancelled for the duration of the lockdown.

 

 

Maternal Child Health

All schedule KAS consultations replaced with telehealth.

Any baby under eight weeks will have a face-to-face consultation in a COVID-safe environment with one adult and one child in the consulting room with the nurse.

Vulnerable families will continue to have MCH service in the home for a 15-minute physical assessment wuith the remaining consultation via telehealth.

All newborn first home MCH consultations will be 15 minutes.

New Parent Group Scheduled to run July 22.
Integrated Family Services Operational with COVID-safe provisions.
Parenting Skill Development On hold for the duration of the lockdown.
Parenting Education Continues via telephone only.
Holiday Parks Closed to new arrivals.
Warrnambool Stadium Closed.
Archie Graham Community Centre

Closed

Gymnastics Centre Closed.
Lighthouse Theatre

Closed. Ticket holders will be contacted directly by the venue where bookings are impacted. Box Office is available for enquiries by phone only from 11.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday by calling 5559 4999.

Waste management Operating as normal.
Public toilets Remain open with regular cleaning undertaken.
Playgrounds Outdoor playgrounds, skateparks and gym equipment remain open.
