About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a progressive & motivated professional to join the Organisation Development Branch at Warrnambool City Council as the Systems Administrator – (HR & Payroll).
The Systems Administrator – (HR & Payroll) has a portfolio of responsibilities spanning a mix of technical and analytical duties, including the support and maintenance of Councils enterprise HR and payroll systems, collection and analysis of workforce data and deriving the maximum return from Council’s investment in the enterprise systems
You can make an impact in the organisation by producing valuable insights and reports which paint a picture of workforce trends.
This newly reimagined role exists to support business leaders in making data-informed people decisions. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage the configuration changes and improvements within the Technology One Payroll module and associated systems.
- Provide “Power User” support to other members of the Organisation Development Branch utilising the Technology One Payroll & Organisation management modules.
- Support and maintenance of enterprise HR systems,
- The collection and analysis of workforce data to support reporting requirements
- Supporting annual cycle of HR processes including performance and remuneration
The ideal candidate will possess.
- Experience in roles comprising enterprise payroll systems, HR reporting, or people data.
- The ability to derive maximum benefit from Council’s Human Resource and payroll systems
- A high level of interpersonal skills
- While tech-savvy and analytically-minded, you will also be comfortable working closely with others and communicating data insights in plain language.
- Advanced MS Excel skills will also be critical to your success.
More broadly, we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, great at problem-solving, and happy to roll up their sleeves and help out the wider team as necessary. Prior experience using Technology 1 will be an advantage but not a must have.
