Council is now seeking to appoint an experienced Manager Financial and Business Services to join the Corporate Strategies Directorate.
About the job
Reporting to the Director Corporate Strategies you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and coordinating effective delivery of a range of financial services and the strategic planning for a financially sustainable future of Warrnambool City Council.
Your proven ability to effectively lead the operations of the Financial Services and business improvement branch will ensure the Council’s finances are managed in a manner that delivers long term financial sustainability and that innovation and helping Councils business units optimize service outcomes for our community.
The role also offers an opportunity to utilise your analytical skills in the development of new business process and systems reviews across the organisation.
With an ability to navigate sophisticated financial technology platforms and outstanding communication skills, your ability to lead and develop staff, manage large and complex budgets, coordinate financial reporting and manage external and internal auditing is critical to the success of the Financial Services team.
Your proven track record of leading a team culture that embraces engagement, innovation and community focused service delivery will be highly regarded. You will have relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive financial management experience (5 plus years).
This is a permanent full time position. An attractive remuneration package that includes 10% superannuation and restricted private use of a council vehicle will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
