Coastal Connect has received funding of $4.5M under the Rural Council Transformation Program (RCTP) to facilitate the sharing of corporate services across the Councils, initially through a major project for a shared ICT platform and software solution and looking forward to future shared services.
The Southwest Council ICT Alliance Governance Committee is now seeking to appoint an Independent Chair.
The independent, non-executive chairman of Coastal Connect will work with the committee as a non-voting member to oversee the governance of the joint venture, to ensure achievement of improved functionality, excellence in operation, and increased return on investment for participating councils.
