Warrnambool City Council has an exciting opportunity available for an emerging Civil Engineer (commencing first year Bachelor of Civil Engineering) wanting to kick start their career and gain hands on experience. This rare opportunity within Local Government will provide the successful student with paid work experience during their University holidays and guaranteed employment for 12 months at the successful completion of their degree.
The Engineering Scholarship program will also provide the successful student with a scholarship of $5000 awarded annually towards the cost of study and university expenses, up to a maximum of $20,000 over the fixed term period.
The Benefits
This is a fixed term part time 4 year contract. At the successful completion of the scholarship and having attained appropriate qualifications a further temporary full time contract of twelve months will be offered to the successful candidate in a position suitable to the qualifications obtained.
