Social Support Program

The Social Support Program provides social and recreational opportunities for people who are frail, aged or have a disability. They also provide carer respite. Activities place emphasis on catering to the needs and interests of participants while enabling opportunities for independence, enjoyment and connecting with others.

Specially trained staff guide the program activities which are planned to help those involved maintain independence and share enjoyable experiences with others.

Centre-based Programs

Programs are based at the Archie Graham Community Centre and offer physical activity, good nutrition as well as cognitive and intellectual stimulation in a friendly and safe environment. Groups are regularly involved in new and interesting experiences at the centre one day and out and about in the community the next. Sessions are available at the Archie Graham Community Centre Monday to Friday 10am – 2.30pm with morning tea and lunch included in the program fee.

Community Program on Wheels

Community Program on Wheels uses the community bus to provide people with access to community activities in a relaxed and social environment. This program operates Monday to Friday as well as on the first and third Saturday of each month. Morning tea and lunch is provided as part of the program.
