2016 Melbourne to Warrnambool Cycling Classic

The second oldest one-day cycling event in the world, the Anchor Point Melbourne to Warrnambool Cycling Classic, is on Saturday October 15.

The finish line is at the Liebig Street and Raglan Parade intersection, with plenty of great spots to watch the gripping finale along the highway.

The bumper field of riders will begin their 277km journey in Werribee at 7.30am.

The first riders are expected in Warrnambool at approximately 2.44pm, depending on weather conditions.

Road closures:
From approximately 12noon - 4pm
Raglan Parade (West Bound) closed between Kepler Street and Simpson Street.
Gateway Road (South Bound) closed between highway and roundabout.
Traffic marshals will allow highway crossings at Kelp, Japan, Foster and Bell streets where safe.
Detour signs will be in place.
Darling Street closed for race duration.
