Warrnambool is a great place to live and a great place to visit.

It is Victoria's largest coastal city outside Port Phillip Bay and a regional centre servicing a population of about 120,000 people from Colac in the east to Mt Gambier to the west.

Right now our city centre is undergoing a $15 million renewal.

This once-in-a-generation work will make our city centre even more accessiible and inviting.

It will be a place where people can easily move about on foot, bicycle or access via car.

In recent years Council has made economic development a focus. A Council-led business delegation to our Chinese sister city, Changchun,  in 2013 was followed up with ongoing contact and ultimately resulted in a State Government-supported project to employ an economic development officer over two years. The relationship is ongoing and has now resulted in the creation of the Warrnambool-China Burea, a unique service that helps Great South Coast businesses explore the potential for trade with China.
