Fun4Kids wins national tourism award

The Fun4Kids Festival has taken out a major national tourism award.

On Friday night Fun4Kids was announced as winner of the 2015 Qantas Australian Tourism Award for the Best Festival and Event

“Congratulations to all staff, volunteers and performers who have helped make this such a highly regarded festival,” Mayor Cr Kylie Gaston said.

“Now approaching the 18th festival, it is an event draws people and activity to Warrnambool during what was traditionally a quiet time of year.

“Along with providing fun with a dash of education the festival provides people with a great taste of Warrnambool and encourages many to return.”

"This is a phenomenal achievement and provides fantastic recognition for all the hard work our volunteers and festival partners devote to the festival each year, not to mention an important and well deserved celebration for our city of Warrnambool and local tourism industry," Fun4Kids Manager Marketing and Ticketing Ashlee English said.

"Our festival is highly regarded in the national tourism sector and this award is something to be extremely proud of.”
