Jim's Group CEO Jim Penman, Carolyn Creswell of Carman's Fine Food, RedBalloon Founding Director and Channel 10 “Shark” Naomi Simson and economics author and columnist Bernard Salt will all be in Warrnambool this August as part of the Great South Coast Small Business Festival.

The full program of festival events has been released and bookings are now open.

As well as providing inspiration and insights from leaders in the business sector, there will be plenty of sessions, workshops and seminars allowing south-west professionals and business operators to learn new skills, develop new ideas and network with other businesses.

Warrnambool City Council Economic Development and Grants Officer Annabel Cussen said that August was gaining a reputation as being “business development month” across the region.

“This is the fourth year that the festival has run and each year more and more businesses attend looking to broaden their skill set and share ideas,” she said.

“The Great South Coast Small Business Festival is about inspiring and motivating regional businesses while celebrating the strength and vitality of the small business sector in the region.

“It aims to build business knowledge, skills and opportunities, and covers a range of topics from marketing, exporting, starting a new business and operating online.

“The always popular small business bus will also be visiting Warrnambool, Port Fairy, Terang and Portland providing free mentoring and face-to-face assistance to help you start or build your small business.”
