Fun4Kids Festival volunteer registrations open

News Article Date:
Thursday, 9 April 2015

Registrations are now open for anyone keen to get involved in the Fun4Kids Festival as a volunteer in 2015.

Volunteering is a great way to experience the fun of the Festival, make a positive contribution to the local community and make new friends.

Fun4Kids Festival relies on hundreds of generous volunteers, affectionately known as the Fun Crew.

There are heaps of ways to be part of the Festival fun including face painting, setting up infrastructure and marshalling as well as helping out in specialised zones such as the circus space, digital tech sphere, art and crafts area and the always popular woodworking zone to name a few.

Rosters are flexible and you can volunteer at times and days that suit you, with shifts running for only four hours.

Fun4Kids Festival Director Merran Fyfe said that a great Fun Crew is vital to ensuring the smooth running of the Festival and to make sure that the thousands of attendees have an amazing time.

“Without our awesome volunteers every year, we would not be able to deliver such an outstanding event to over 20,000 excited festival goers,” she said.

“There are so many different roles you can fill and they all have two things in common: they are fun and rewarding.

“If you are a big kid at heart, enjoy working with children and like to have fun we would love to hear from you.”

Fun4Kids Festival will be held from Sunday June 28 to Saturday July 4.

Volunteers need to be aged 14 or older.
