Score up to $3000 for your community group

News Article Date:
Tuesday, 8 July 2014

Applications for the Warrnambool City Council’s 2014-15 Community Development Fund are now open.

The fund provides grants of up to $3000 to help local clubs and organisations develop or provide sporting, recreational, cultural or sustainability programs and activities.

Council will provide $2 for each dollar contributed by the successful applicant.

In 2013, 32 groups received combined funding of $75,469 for 33 different activities and projects.

Warrnambool City Council Mayor Michael Neoh said the grassroots grants helped a broad range of community groups meet important short-term goals.

“The dedication of Warrnambool’s community groups helps make our city a vibrant and engaging place to live,” Cr Neoh said.

“The grants help these groups deliver tangible outcomes in a timely way.”

Applications close at 5pm, Friday August 29 with successful applicants notified in mid-October.
