Free parking in Parkers car park

News Article Date:
Tuesday, 1 November 2016

Free parking will begin in Parkers Car Park on November 1, 2016 and continue through to December 31, 2017.

This Council commitment is part of the business support package developed for the $15 million City Centre Renewal.

Parkers Car Park is an off-street car park to the east of Liebig street, with vehicular access via Lava and Koroit Streets.

“The free parking is still time limited – 90 minutes – which means that motorists taking up the offer of free parking must still print and display a ticket,” Warrnambool City Council Manager Local Laws Ian Fitzgibbon said.

“The time limit ensures that the car parks are regularly turned over and more shoppers have a greater opportunity to find a free space.

“Parkers Car Park is in a great location, it’s only a 50m walk to the centre block of Liebig Street.”

Stage I of the City Centre Renewal, covering Liebig Street from Raglan Parade to Koroit Street, will be completed over February to September next year.
