Free entry for Flagstaff Hill Open Weekend

News Article Date:
Tuesday, 31 October 2017

Get down to Flagstaff Hill’s Open Weekend over November 18 and 19 for a free weekend of fun family activities to celebrate the completion of Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village renewal.

“We’re excited to invite locals and visitors to come down and ‘experience the history’ for themselves before the summer rush,” Flagstaff Hill Service Manager Paul Pinkerton said.

“Be among the first explore the new digital interactive displays throughout the village, enjoy the improved accessibility of our cobblestone streets aboard the shuttle and see the maritime village come to life with engaging volunteers as part of our new volunteer program.”

On this special weekend visitors can also take part in games, dress-ups, cannon firing, meeting the maremmas and put themselves on the deck of the Loch Ard via an interactive “green screen”.

The Flagstaff Hill upgrade was funded by the Victorian Government and Warrnambool City Council.
