Moyne and Warrnambool Road Share invite interested teachers/community members/parents to become Bike Ed Assistants. Update and learn new skills, learn to teach safe cycling and become part of the WHEEL DOCTORS.
Full Course: 7 & 8 March, Warrnambool
9am to 4pm (both days)
Assistant’s Course: 7 & 8 March, Warrnambool
9am to 1pm (both days)
Update Course: 8 March, Warrnambool
9am to 1.30pm

Bike Ed aims to develop responsible behaviours, attitudes and decision-making skills to enable students to become safe cyclists. If it's hard to fit bike ed into your busy school; you may be able to have a bike day or have bike ed as an active afterschool activity.
Become a Bike Ed Assistant
You can assist at local schools with their Bike Ed programs or community events. Council will fund community members to become Bike Ed Assistants within Warrnambool.
Current Bike Ed Assistants & Teachers
Course sessions include equipment checks, adjustments/minor repairs, basic skills, group riding skills, traffic technique, road rules and resources.

TravelSmart aims to reduce peoples dependency on cars and encourage them to choose sustainable travel alternatives such as travelling by public transport, cycling or walking.
Many Warrnambool people are choosing to leave their car at home when travelling to school, work, shopping, to sport. It does not have to be every day, try it today and you might be surprised at the time it saves you and improve your fitness.
TravelSmart is a Victorian Government funded program, delivered in partnership with Warrnambool City Council. 2010 will see the implementation of the St Joesphs Primary School, Merrivale Primary School and Warrnambool Primary School Travel Plan which include the Healthy Moves routes to school.

Cycling is an inexpensive and fun form of transport. There are many health and wellbeing benefits to riding a bike. Getting to work, school or just for pleasure, Warrnambool is a great place to get about on your bike.
