The Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village in Warrnambool is situated within an hour's drive of the 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Road. Flagstaff Hill is Warrnambool's premier attraction providing the vital link between the culture and heritage of the Shipwrecked Coast and the contempory Great Ocean Road experience.

By day, a state heritage listed precinct

Flagstaff Hill's maritime village is set on 10 acres and reflects the pioneering atmostphere of an 1870's coastal port. Experience first hand the perils of early sea travel as you explore the Gravesend Theatre, audiovisual presentations, interactive displays, and the relics and treasures recovered from various shipwrecks are on display in the Great Circle Gallery.

A key feature of the Great Circle Gallery is the priceless Minton earthware status, the Loch Ard Peacock, Australia's most valuable shipwreck relic. Transported from England to Melbourne aboard the clipper the Loch Ard in 1878 for the Loch Ard Peacock was washed ashore in a packing crate, just days after its namesake ran aground.

By night, a world-class sound and light show

Imagine being on board a 19th century sailing ship as it sinks in the treacherous seas off the coast of Victoria's Great Ocean Road.....and surviving!

Experience the tragedy, drama and excitement of sailing the high seas. The world class sound and laser show tells the tale of the ship's demise and the miraculous survival of just two passengers, Tom Pearce and Eva Carmichael.

The Loch Ard disaster is dramatically relived via a spectacular sound and light show projected on to a 9 metre high aquascreen and using the beautiful Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village as a backdrop.

Flagstaff Hill: Daily 9am-5pm (closed Christmas Day)
Shipwrecked: Screens nightly from dusk. Times vary throughout the year. Bookings essential. Dinner and Show Packages available.
