Warrnambool Industrial Land Use Review Draft 2010

Council is undertaking the work of finding a suitable location for general industry hub to cater for the existing and future growth of Warrnambool.

The draft industrial review document is now released for information. The review provides a thorough assessment of the various options and alternatives available including preferred location. Council is not seeking submissions or comments at this stage, the document is available for information only.

Officers will be preparing a Planning Scheme Amendment to rezone the preferred land. Subject to Council approval the Amendment will be exhibited and advertised and submissions will then be sought. The Amendment is expected to be exhibited in September/October this year. Submissions made will be heard before an independent Panel appointed by the Minister for Planning. The Panel findings will determine the outcome of the Amendment.
