Whistleblowers Protection

Warrnambool City Council recognises the value of transparency and accountability in its administrative and management practices. Council supports the making of disclosures that reveal:

• Corrupt conduct;
• Conduct involving a substantial mismanagement of public resources; and
• Conduct involving a substantial risk to public health and safety or the environment.

Council’s Policy and Guidelines relating to these issues are available for viewing online or at the Warrnambool Civic Centre, 25 Liebig Street Warrnambool.

Where is disclosure is to be made in relation to a Councillor or the Chief Executive Officer, it is made directly to the Ombudsman Victoria.
