A strategic review was undertaken of Council’s drainage network growth requirements and the need to install future reticulation and main drains to cater for the increased demand from urban development.
The review of the drainage network identified major growth areas and calculated developer contributions for new drainage works in developing areas.
This has allowed Council to jointly fund drainage works with developers, based on fairly apportioning the costs of constructing new drainage lines between Council and benefiting owners.
