Appealing a Decision

Once notified of Council’s decision on a planning application, parties may make an application for review (appeal) to Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT):

  • Objectors to the application have 21 days from the serving of the Notice of Decision to appeal against Council’s decision.
  • The applicant has 60 days from the serving of the Notice of Decision to appeal against a refusal of a permit or against conditions of a permit.
