This fully theatre retains much of the beauty of the original Victorian town hall while combining it with the latest theatre technology. The theatre is suitable for drama, dance, music, and opera as well as functions and conferences.

The theatre which seats 583 is equipped with a hearing loop covering more than 80% of the auditorium. Disabled seating is available at the front and middle of the auditorium.

As part of the redevelopment the rear of the auditorium is now also accessible by lift and has close circuit TV enabling late comers to watch the performance until a suitable break in the performance.

Lighthouse Studio

This versatile, modern multi-purpose venue has been designed to accommodate anything from intimate theatre and recitals through to catered banquets, receptions and trade shows. The venue is equipped with a comprehensive stage lighting and audio capability and retractable, tiered seating which can accommodate 140. The venue is accessible by lift and is equipped with assisted hearing functionality

The Lighthouse Studio is suitable for intimate comedy cabaret awards nights and wedding receptions.

YOUTH TICKETS
Great prices for young people – if you’re 20 and under or a full time student 25 and under, most shows in the Theatre Season are only $25 and the top price you will pay for any Theatre Season show is $35. Appropriate identification is necessary.

CONCESSIONS
Holders of a Pensioner or Health Care cards are eligible for reduced ticket prices. Proof of concession is required at time of purchase.

SPECIAL NEEDS
Lift access and extra wheel chair seats have been implemented to make your theatre experience even more enjoyable. If you have any special needs our staff will do their best to ensure they are accommodated and you have the most appropriate seats available. Please let us know of your needs when purchasing tickets.

HEARING LOOP
One of the improvements made during the redevelopment is the hearing loop. It now covers up to 80% of the theatre and will assist patrons with impaired hearing. Please let us know of your needs when purchasing tickets.

MOBILE PHONES/PAGERS
Please consider your fellow patrons and the performers on stage by ensuring your mobile phone/pager is switched off prior to the performance.

RECORDING DEVICES
Due to copyright restrictions the use of still and video cameras, mobile phones and other recording devices is not permitted during performances.
