Council will continue to work with community, businesses and Government agencies to tackle pest plant and animal impacts. Council is happy to be working with the Glenelg Hopkins CMA by targeting Boxthorn, Gorse, Mallows, Hemlock and other weeds in our coastal reserves in 2011 and 2012.
Council would also like to thank the Society of Growing Australia, particularly Kevin Sparrow, the Glenelg Hopkins CMA and the Warrnambool Coastcare Landcare Group for developing the booklet "Environmental Weeds of Warrnambool." The free booklet is a good identification reference and provides methods on how to control common weeds to Warrnambool. Pick up your free copy of the booklet at the Warrnambool Civic Centre, 25 Liebig Street Warrnambool.
