Volunteering Warrnambool

Council acknowledges the valuable contribution that volunteers play in the municipality.

Volunteering Warrnambool provides support and guidance to organisations and community groups that involve volunteers in their work, and provides a volunteer matching service to bring together volunteer roles, and volunteers to fill them.

• Provide advice to volunteers and potential volunteers about the range of opportunities available and benefits of volunteering.
• Training and resources for not-for-profit organisations and groups on relevant issues and challenges in volunteering, including Workplace Health and Safety, policy development, volunteer reward and recognition, insurance, induction and much more.
• Support the South West Volunteer Network with financial management and Secretariat functions.
• Oversee the registration and insurance coverage of Council volunteers.
