Western District Forecast
Issued at 0540 on Friday the 8th of August 2008

Weather Pattern:
A low pressure system off the NSW coast will drift eastwards today. A cold
front south of South Australia will weaken as it moves across Victoria today. A
stronger cold front will approach from the southwest on Saturday and will cross
Victoria on Sunday then another front will move through Bass Strait Monday
night.

Forecast: Friday
Cool to cold with scattered showers developing from the west. Moderate to fresh
northwesterly winds shifting west to southwesterly during the day.

Outlooks:
Saturday Isolated showers, becoming more widespread from the west and
falling as snow above 900 metres. Early frosts. Cold with moderate to fresh
northwesterly winds.
Sunday Scattered showers, falling as snow above 600 metres. Local hail and
isolated thunderstorms. Early frosts. Cold.
Monday Isolated showers, more widespread near the coast. Early frost
patches. Cold.
