Fabulous Foreshore
Warrnambool’s Lady Bay offers protected swimming along with more challenging pursuits of surfing, yachting and windsurfing. Surf lifesavers patrol the beach during the summer.

Beyond the breakwater at the mouth of the Merri River is Stingray Bay, a beautiful sheltered bay where you can explore the rock pools.

Warrnambool’s award winning Foreshore Promenade is a wonderful 5.7 kilometre track that stretches from the Breakwater along the coastline at the famous Southern Right Whale Nursery at Logans Beach.

Activities
Take some time to visit Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village, see the Shipwreck Sound and Light Show, take a stroll on one of the many walking trails or try whale watching (between June – October).

Take the family to enjoy a day at Lake Pertobe Adventure Playground. This 20 hectare playground is paradise for kids. There are walking tracks around the lakes and the park features picnic areas and sheltered BBQ facilities.

The Lake Pertobe precinct is home to sporting facilities including lawn tennis courts, mini golf, an athletics track and nearby skateboard park.

Shopping
Warrnambool is a major retail centre for South West Victoria and has a variety of excellent retail stores, cafes and restaurants.

You can explore the CBD precinct in Liebig Street with ease on foot or take a drive to the east and visit the Gateway Plaza shopping complex, Harvey Norman, Bunnings and the new Homemaker Centre.

Great Food
You’ll never run out of places to try from sophisticated dining, causal cafes and bistros and fine take-away options.

The Great South West Food and Wine Group promotes the diversity and quality of food and beverage produce in the region. This is just a taste of what’s on offer! Visit www.warrnamboolinfo.com.au for more taste temptations, and individual business details.
