Active Communities - ‘Go For Your Life’ Forum  Printer Friendly

This forum will focus on urban planning and local health promotion initiatives designed to encourage people to improve their levels of physical activity and reduce sedentary behaviour.

Wednesday 11 November 2009
9.15am Registration – 3pm
'Simon's Waterfront' at the Surf Club, Pertobe Road Warrnambool

You are invited to attend Active Communities - a ‘Go for your life’ forum to be held in Warrnambool on Wednesday 11 November 2009.

Health is everyone’s business. The design of our communities can either limit or encourage physical activity, such as walking and cycling. You can help lead the reform of our local environments so ‘healthy choices are easy choices’ in our communities.

This forum will feature a morning program of speakers who will present options for developing healthy sustainable environments. The afternoon session will examine local health promotion initiatives designed to increase levels of physical activity in the community. A copy of the agenda can be downloaded by clicking the link below.

Register online on the Kinect Australia website before 6 November (see link below).
